Vail Fruechting is a proud fourth generation Kansan who got his start on the family farm in Plains, Kansas. He met his wife of over 40 years, Pamela, while they were both studying at Kansas State University where he studied agronomy and horticulture, earning degrees in both.
Together, they raised their three children in Plains, Kansas, embodying the values of hard work, family life, and service to their community. Pamela and Vail are now proud grandparents of 11 grandchildren.
Vail has lived and worked in Wichita going on 15 years. He left farming for the natural gas industry, where he has built successful partnerships with small and large businesses in the Wichita-area. Pamela has served the community for 23 years as a nurse practitioner.
Vail has exercised leadership as a policy advocate for farming issues at the state and national level. He is an active member of the Rotary Club and his local church.
Vail’s life experience and work serving his community prove he’s the right choice for Kansas Senate for the 25th district. The bottom line: Vail is a solution-driven individual dedicated to understanding the issues through thoughtful dialogue and active leadership.
